Brookfield Zoo!

We met Uncle Dave, Kyle and Elizabeth at Brookfield Zoo today! What a fun time! The weather was perfect. I love how Sam and Elizabeth are becoming so close! Sam talks about her all the time. We will have to plan another trip to the zoo this summer. This brown bear was so fun to watch swim around his pool.

Our Big Boy!!

Nathan is growing up so fast! He is now 3 1/2 months! We took him to the doctor and finally got him on meds. for his reflux. He is already doing better! Let's hope he isn't on them for too long! He is up to 18lbs.4 oz already! He only wakes up once a night to nurse (usually about 2 or 3). The perfect baby boy!!!

Baptism luncheon

We had everyone over for lunch after the baptism. It was a beautiful day so we got to hang out in the backyard!!

Nathan's baptism

Nathan's baptism was today. We had it at St.Anne's church in Barrington. This is where Dan and I were married and where Sam's baptism was. Father Jack couldn't do Nathan's ceremony because he has prostate cancer. We pray he is doing well. Father Fred did a great job including the children in the ceremony. It was a special day for our family.

washing dishes with grandma

It brings tears to my eyes when I see Sam doing things with Grandma that I used to do with my Grandma Trudy (my mom's mom). One of our favorite things was to wash dises in her sink for hours! Leave it to Grandma to let us splash and make a mess in her kitchen. My mom lets her do this all the time. I on the other hand get irritated with the mess when she does it at home. I can't wait to be a grandma. It seems like grandmas are so much more relaxed and get to have more fun with the kids sometimes! They don't worry about the mess and the naps. They just get to enjoy it!
I miss my grandma so much. I wish she was here to meet all of her great-grandchildren (all 10 of them). She was a wonderful woman and is greatly missed by so many.

Clowning around!

Oh the joy of having two kids! It can be crazy sometimes, but so worth all the craziness! Sam is becoming such a ham lately and Nathan is turning into a little man right before our eyes! It is hard to believe he is only 3 months old by the size of him! He is probably close to 19 lbs now. He really doesn't look that chubby, he just looks like he is 6 months old. He is long and solid. It makes me sad because he went through the baby stage so quickly. I guess we will just have to do it again! HE HE!! Unfortunately I think our family is complete with Nathan and Sam. I would love another down the road, but Daddy says "NO WAY". Maybe we can convince him one day;)
